Just heard the sad news that Robert McNamara has died at the age of 93. McNamara was the secretery of defence under Kennedy and Johnson and later head of the world bank. He was an incredibly smart and compassionate man and someone who I greatly admired. If only there were more politicians in the world as honest, rationale and smart as McNamara then perhaps we&d be living in a much safer world.
